My name is Rachel Roberts, and I am the person behind Hermit Creates!

Hermit Creates is the brand name for all my entrepreneurial and artistic ventures, including writing books, making art, and crafting! The name Hermit is inspired by the tarot card that represents a long, independent journey taken by the light of a lantern. Considering I focus on making original work to provide a light for others and myself, this name felt appropriate!

I am a Canadian based in Southern Ontario. I work in a variety of mediums such as writing, digital illustration, needle-felt, polymer clay, crochet, and sewing. Recently I have opened the Hermit Creates shop to sell my wares and plan on participating in craft shows this coming summer of 2025.
